Matthias Ries Industrial Design (MRID) has been established by the German designer Matthias Ries in 2006 and operates in the fields of product and spacial design as well as design consulting. Since it's start the studio has received numerous design awards and has been widely published in the industries most important magazines.

Matthias is interweaving different disciplines wherever it provides useful or necessary. A strong creative network of photographers, grafic designers, scenographers and media artist supports him and thus, provides a full service.

For a few years now, he also works on the theoretical aspects of design with a focus on its social and environmental impact and gives talks and lectures about his research. Additionaly he is working as a teacher and visiting professor in different schools and universities.
